    We invite you to welcome Yale Divinity School's Emilie M. Townes, the Andrew W. Mellon Professor of African American Studies in Religion and Theology and Associate Dean of Academic Affairs, to Old South Church, Boston on Wednesday, November 19th.  Professor Townes' teaching and general research interests focus on Christian ethics, womanist ethics, critical social theory, cultural theory and studies, as well as on postmodernism and social postmodernsim.  She currently serves as the President of the American Academy of Religion.  Following an opening reception Professor Townes will make a presentation and then join us for conversation and fellowship. The event is free and open to the public.
